Three things I’m testing, two ideas worth stealing, one question worth answering.
3 Things I’m Testing
1. Testing whether generosity compounds faster than gatekeeping.
Our Rewired chat feature went live this week, free for everyone. Tomorrow we launch our first mini video training called The Pattern Break for paid subscribers. Here’s the thing: I’m hellbent on create immense value regardless of whether you’re paying or not. Free subscribers get the weekly newsletter, the chat and the occasional frameworks. Paid subscribers get all of that plus deeper insights & resources, monthly Zoom masterclasses, and priority access to everything i build. Everyone wins. Testing whether abundance thinking beats scarcity thinking.

2. Testing whether two-minute cold showers build resilience when your mind is screaming for the off button.
Been doing these daily since August. Autumn hit and suddenly it’s a different challenge. The benefits are stacking: mental clarity at an all-time high, recovery from running and gym sessions is excellent, and every morning I’m building the muscle to cope with hard things. Two minutes of controlled discomfort trains your nervous system to handle stress better. Your body adapts. Your mind follows. Cold exposure isn’t punishment, it’s practice for everything else that’s difficult.
3. Testing whether evening focus blocks work just as well as the morning ones.
I’ve always been someone who produces my best work early morning. No distractions. Just me, my laptop, and a blank canvas. That said, I’m testing 60-90 minute focus blocks in the evenings and it’s been a revelation. Still phone-free for 30-60 minutes before sleep to let my mind rest. Just because the productivity gurus say “first thing in the morning” doesn’t mean you can’t experiment. Your peak hours might not be when everyone else says they should be.
2 Ideas Worth Stealing
1. Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now
“One conscious breath in and out is a meditation.”
Reading this book again and this line cuts through all the noise about meditation. You don’t need a complex 20 minute daily practice. You need one breath. Conscious inhale. Conscious exhale. That’s it. Your mind pulls you into past regrets or future anxiety. Your breath brings you back to the only moment that actually exists. Do it right now. One breath where you notice the air moving in and out. That’s the entire practice.
2. James Clear’s Habit Stacking Formula
“One of the best ways to build a new habit is to identify a current habit you already do each day and then stack your new behaviour on top of it“.
Clear’s research shows new habits stick faster when you stack them on existing automatic behaviours.
Here’s the formula:
After [CURRENT HABIT], I will [NEW HABIT].
Your current habit becomes the cue, no willpower required. Want to do push-ups daily? “After I close my laptop for lunch, I will do ten push-ups next to my desk.” The specificity matters. The timing is automatic. The new behaviour becomes inevitable.
1 Question Worth Answering
Are you protecting your best hours for your most important work, or are you giving them away to whoever asks first?
Bonus Question
A few subscribers have asked if I’ve considered launching a podcast.
To be honest, I thought it would be too much work. But I’ve done some groundwork and it’s actually possible: 10-minute weekly episodes breaking down the Rewired newsletter for when you’re running, driving, or making breakfast.
Here’s the thing: I don’t want to launch just another podcast to collect dust in your feed. I need honest data before committing the time.
So I need your help. Will you actually listen?
I appreciate your support.
The work continues.

P.S. Week two of testing this 3-2-1 format. If it’s adding value, let me know. If it’s noise, tell me that too. The feedback determines what survives.
